Welcome to the legacy site! It's a bit broken, but should work for the most part - just keep in mind I'm not actively maintaining it!

Hi, I've been taking a look at the tutorials, which were really fun. But I'm having an issue with the Grass/fur and toon shading tutorials. Basically, the interface has changed (as I was aware, lol). I don't see any shells tab in the layers section, and there's less options in the shells area in the passes section. So, how do you modify the shells appearance in the current version?

I really need to update that tutorial haha XD. Yeah in the current version shells are handled a bit differently but in a way that allows a lot more possibilities. In the past, turning on shells created more shader passes, which are duplicate renders of the model. Nowadays you can create however many passes you want (each with their own layers), and enable shells on a pass to then have that pass duplicate itself (hope that makes sense XD).

In the passes panel at the top you can add and change the order of passes.

You'd want to create a second one and call it "Shells" or something, turn on the shells option, and then in the Layers panel you can access it just like the previous Shells tab :).
